Toy
Actually I was inspired by a photo of Dakota Fanning... in my mind the question just came up: who is the toy?
In all my artistic exhibitions, recent and not, I received, before any other comment or appreciation and from every kind of viewer, expert or complete profane, always just the same question: are your works printed? And always I remain astonished by the evident fact that my works, if looked upon closely, are visibly painted and, all in all, not even hyper-realistic!
I must admit that this has caused me a lot of frustration over time. I also make artworks in digital format that I print on aluminum, but even in these cases I use software specifically dedicated to the digital painting and, in any event, I declare the origin. I came to the conclusion that if instead of being blond with blue eyes I were an old bearded man, this question would be asked much less frequently!
For this reason, here I publish a small example of work in progress. I took a picture for each working session. And since I do not have a long beard, I'm afraid that from now on I'll have to do it often ...
