"8 layers in the neon abyss" is painted with fluorescent acrylic colors on 8 sheets of transparent acrylglass: at the centre, the body of the jellyfish is painted only in its dark parts. In the most external layers only the parts exposed to the light are painted and, at last, the bubbles. In this way the jellyfish gain a certain threedimensionality. The acrylglass sheets are surrounded by multicolor LED strips, which make the fluorescent acrylic colors shine. The rear side of the artwork is covered by a two-way mirror.  

The White Rabbit is a fictional character in Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. He appears at the very beginning of the book, in chapter one, wearing a waistcoat, and muttering "Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!" Alice follows him down the rabbit hole into Wonderland a fictional country. This is a fantasy world underground. Because Alice follows him, he gets things moving again whenever he appears during the story. In a way, he is some kind of a guide through Wonderland for her.  Both books “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass” share this quality: they are, both literally and figuratively, dream-like and both end up when Alice wakes up and she finds she no longer is in Wonderland. Things and situations drift and transmute with little or no logic save that peculiar logic of the subconscious, which is more or less playing random-association games. I preferred a black rabbit because the astrophysics is full of black and dark symbols or definitions of something antithetic to the bright, difficult to determine in its existence or explore: dark matter, dark energy, black holes, black star, black dwarf….

In  the many-worlds interpretation of the quantum mechanics, maybe there is a black rabbit like that of Wonderland (with a black waistcoat and a black watch) who is running through the hyperspace, but we cannot see him. We could only if we were starting to follow the rabbit, like Alice did, through the black hole in the hyperspace. It would be a time travel or a space travel, but maybe that would be dreamlike as well, in fact during the day with the sunlight we don’t see anything.

Two parts, each of 21 cm and 35 cm diameter, and a depth of 9 cm. Wood (hexagon and sheep), mirror (background), Venetian mirror (cover), LED. 2019 You see a sheep that in the small hexagon gets in a “wormhole” (cyberspace? A dream world?) And in the big hexagon jumps out this dreamy world. What exactly is it, decides the viewer, but the world where it jumps is smaller than that of what it comes. When the light is switched on, everything inside seems to be endless.
